As an Assistant Service Manager at Sofi, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations, enhancing guest experience, and managing service staff. You will work closely with the management team to ensure smooth service, optimize workflows, and maintain high standards of hospitality. Your leadership and passion for excellent service will help create a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff, contributing to the overall success of the bakery.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting management and team in maintaining service standards and guest relations
  • Supporting management to organize events, b2b orders and optimize pre-order processes
  • Working and supporting the service team to ensure the wellbeing of service staff
  • Training new service staff members so that each incoming member of staff is prepared to the Sofi standards
  • Working together with the management team to develop efficient rotas and financially optimize daily operations
  • Supporting management in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the bakery
  • Assist with ordering products

Tasks

Operations

  • Ensuring regular and cost-efficient ordering of service and retail products and offerings
  • Supporting management in staff recruitment and team building
  • Supporting the store manager in development and implementation of events
  • Supporting the store manager in structural and technical maintenance upkeep
  • Work with the store manager to develop internal structure and organization in order to optimize maximum efficiency and overall budget
  • Cover for service staff in case of urgent need (e.g. illnesses)
  • Manage monthly inventory and stock take
  • Working with the management team to oversee expenditures, receipts and invoicing

Personnel

  • Working with the store manager to develop the weekly rota and schedule
  • Assisting in interviewing and recruiting of incoming staff
  • Supporting the service staff to create an efficient, dynamic, but also fun work environment
  • Assisting in feedback meetings, general HR tasks between service staff and management team

Qualification

  • Experience in food service or hospitality management
  • Passion for hospitality, service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team

Job Description:

As part of the operational management team at SOFI, the Accountant will assume an important role in the overall financial management of the company. The Individual will have primary day-to-day responsibility for preparing books, accounts reconciliations, cash management and other financial-related activities of SOFI bakery. You will contribute to a work environment that is respectful, considerate, team-oriented and open to dialogue. We are looking to fill this position starting on 1st March 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly bookkeeping for our external accountant
  • Reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Preparation and execution of weekly payment runs
  • Invoice approval and creation according to tax requirements
  • Active liaison with tax consultant
  • Assisting in the setup for finance tools and supporting controlling needs
  • Assisting SOFI Management in various topics like data maintenance, vendor management, etc.

Qualification

  • BA, or higher-level degree in accounting or related fields
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an accountant, or similar roles
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, especially HGB
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • High level of integrity and dependability
  • Strong personality with an ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
